Dropbags

Runners can use dropbags for all the manned checkpoints. These must be deposited in the appropriate receptacle at the Friday night race briefing. They must be clearly marked with name, race number and designated checkpoint.  Please try to keep dropbags to a reasonable size.

After a checkpoint closes the dropbags will be transported to the finish for collection. Any unclaimed dropbags after the presentation will be disposed of.

Pacers must share their runners dropbag. There will not be provision for separate pacer dropbags.

Stashes

No food, drink or equipment can be stashed along the course by runners.

Water

There is only water available at the checkpoints.  There will be provision for three litres of water for each runner, each time they pass through a checkpoint.  There may also be a unmanned water drop near Devil's Kitchen (between Moonlight Head and 12 Apostles) if time permits.

Runners may NOT use the water tanks at the Great Ocean Walk Hike In Checkpoints.  This is provided for hikers and is in limited supply.

Some creeks may contain drinkable water, particularly if there has been recent rains.  However most large streams are estuarine and should not be drunk.
