Qualification

This is a serious ultra marathon requiring a high level of fitness and experience. The run organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. Entrants must provide evidence of a trail ultra completed within the 12 months prior to the run date. In the absence of a suitable trail ultra the applicant must submit evidence of other relevant organised run history for consideration. While the vast majority of the GOW course is runnable, entrants should be aware of the relatively tight cut-offs at checkpoints that will be enforced.

Waitlist

Entries received after the field is full will be placed on a waitlist unless they request to be removed. Full refunds will be sent when they are removed or after the event day if they remain on the list. The waitlist will be in order of entries received. If a successful entrant withdraws before race day the first person on the waitlist will be offered the position, and so on.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation of the run due fire, extreme weather or other unforseen circumstance (or at the direction of Parks Victoria, Department of Sustainability, or any other authorities) attempts will be made to notify entrants as soon as possible. Entry fees will be refunded less a small administrative fee of $25 but no responsibility is taken by the organisers for lost travel or accommodation expenses.

Refunds

Entries can be cancelled up to 25 September 2009 with a full refund (less $25 admin fee). Thereafter there will be no refund.

Transferring Entries

Entries are not transferrable. Any runner withdrawing before the race start cannot transfer their entry to another, it becomes available for the first runner on the waitlist.
